Abstract

Coronavirus disease 2019 changed how health care systems could provide quality health care to patients, safely. An urban health care system created an advanced practice provider (APP)-managed continuous remote patient monitoring (cRPM) program. A mixed-method study design was initiated focusing on the usable and feasible nature of the cRPM program. APP-guided interviews and online questionnaires were analyzed. APP feedback using the remote monitoring solution was overwhelmingly positive, including providing quality health care, detecting early clinical deterioration, and desiring to adapt the solution to other acute or chronic diseases. Understanding the clinical users’ feedback on the usability and feasibility of cRPM highlights the significance of rapid clinical assessment, urgent care escalation, and provider accessibility.
