Abstract
ABSTRACT This study explores ethnomedicinal plants and traditional medical practices in the Ganga River watershed. A total of 147 respondents provided data on 114 medicinal plants. The Asteraceae is the largest plant family, with common herbaceous life forms, and leaves with most frequently used plant part. The study highlights the high ICF for category 6. Ocimum americanum exhibited the highest UV, while Tinospora cordifolia is found to have the highestRFC and FL. This study underscores the importance of preserving traditional knowledge of key medicinal plants in the Ganga River watershed.
