Introduction

Recent events worldwide have put diversity in the limelight. The lack of diversity has been highlighted. Various media reports tend to show that major companies in the US are not very diverse. The benefits of a diverse workplace include better decision-making, improved problem solving, greater creativity and innovation, enhanced product development and successful marketing to a wide range of customers (Cox, 1991; Harvey & Allard, 2012).
