As stated by Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) (2008), food security is defined as a state when "all people, at all times, have physical and economic access to sufficient, safe and nutritious food for a healthy and active life." So, in order to guarantee food security to humanity, we have to be concerned with the health of earth's natural resources, soil fertility to start with (Gomiero, Pimentel, & Paoletti, 2011)
The research objective The research objective of this paper is to provide a contextual review of public policy and food security literature and current events to explore technological determinism concerning farming, food production, food security, and food policy
