Abstract

An estimate is made of the rate coefficient for linear DNA synthesis with exact doubling in an exponentially growing population of Ehrlich ascites tumor cells having chromosome-number dispersion. Comparison of calculated and experimental results suggest that the assumptions used in the calculation are tenable, but further experimental evidence is needed to prove this.
