Abstract

The development in the field of electronic production in India has been given priority in planning. The hypothesis for improving and developing telecommunication as an important input to achieve speedy social and economic advancement, is under active consideration. Without a radical change in policy, the rural telecommunication services will be barred from expansion and improvement. It can service only be taking into account of optimal economic model estimates with respect to available technology, and the grade of service required. Moreover, every technology has inherent risks but the benefits usually far exceed the problems by several orders of magnitude. The Multi Access Rural Radio Telephone system (MARR) is one of the probable solution for rural communication.
