Abstract
This paper addresses the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic on stress-related mental disorders in hospital health personnel who are in charge of the care of suspected or confirmed coronavirus patients in Argentina. To this end, research on mental disorders diagnosed in health personnel who carried out their work in hospitals where epidemic diseases such as SARS, MERS or Ebola were treated are analyzed; At the same time, the stress manifested by health personnel who care for suspected or confirmed COVID-19 patients is examined. Finally, it is proposed that the Argentine regulations be harmonized with the guidelines issued by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Labor Organization (ILO) on the matter.
