Abstract
The reversible gas-solid interaction in an open isothermal system in studied by means of a classic thermodynamic treatment based on calorimetric heats of adsorption. An expression of the integral molar entropy of adsorption closely related to experimental heats and adsorbed amounts are thus obtained. Similar relationships deduced for closed systems are compared. Other thermodynamic functions connected with entropy, such as free energies, arc also given.
