Abstract
Jacyntho Lins Brandão é doutor em Letras (Letras Clássicas) pela Universidade de São Paulo. Desde 1977, leciona na Faculdade de Letras da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, onde ocupa, atualmente, o cargo de Professor Titular de Língua e Literatura Grega. Na mesma Universidade, foi diretor da Faculdade de Letras, nos períodos de 1990-1994 e 2006-2010, e Vice-Reitor no período de 1994-1998. É sócio fundador da Sociedade Brasileira de Estudos Clássicos. Foi Professor Visitante na Universidade de Aveiro (Portugal, 1998-1999) e na Universidad Nacional del Sur (Bahía Blanca, Argentina, 2001), bem como Directeur d’ Études Invité na École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (Paris, França, 2001). ---DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.22409/cadletrasuff.2018n56a586
