Abstract

This study describes the management of educational financing based on entrepreneurship in Islamic boarding schools at Pondok Modern Cordoba, West Bandung. The pesantren business unit is an independent business that has the principles of the pesantren, by the pesantren, and for the pesantren. The existence of this business unit is a manifestation of the independence of the pesantren in developing the potential for education financing management. The existence of this business unit helps to improve the quality of education in pesantren. This research is a qualitative research. Methods of data collection using observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses data categorization and data interpretation. The results of this study indicate that: 1) the management of education financing at Pondok Modern Cordoba, West Bandung is not much different from the management of education financing in general. 2) the cost of education at Pondok Modern Cordoba, West Bandung, was obtained from three sources of funds. First, it is obtained from non-governmental organizations around the lodge through infaq and waqf. Second, it is obtained from donors or congregations who are permanent donors. Third, from the results of the pesantren business, namely through the Business Unit. 3) the results of the Pondok Pesantren business unit are entirely managed by the Pondok and allocated for the advancement of education at the Pondok.
