Abstract

The mechanism of energy transfer during the radiolysis of organic liquids was confirmed. Evaluation of the lower limit of the linear speed of energy transfer indicated the probability of electromagnetic energy transfer (from excited molecules to inhibitor molecules) in the inhibition of radiolysis. The theory allows the prediction of experimental facts, such as variations in the effect of inhibiting additives with their concentration and the relationship between inhibiting effect and the excitation spectrum of molecules participating in the inhibition process.
