Abstract
Creating research paper presentation slides is often a labor-intensive process that tools like Open Office and Microsoft PowerPoint Office do not adequately streamline, as they offer templates but lack content selection capabilities. Academic presentations are meant to succinctly showcase research findings, using visuals to engage the audience and emphasize key points. To address this, we propose an automated system that generates presentation slides directly from PDF research papers, significantly reducing the time, effort, and cost involved. This system leverages the Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers (BERT) model, developed by Google, To encapsulate the content of research papers. By using Python’s unpdfer tool, the system extracts text from PDFs, and then employs BERT to evaluate the significance of sentences and produce concise summaries.
