Abstract
ABSTRACT One of the most uncommon and life-threatening cellulitis of the floor of the mouth and neck is Ludwig angina. It involves the compartments of floor of the mouth, namely sublingual, sub-mental, and submandibular. Deep neck infections are usually dangerous because they have tendency to cause edema, distortion, and obstruction of airway. The cases of severe cellulitis maybe mixed with Ludwig’s angina as the case here. Proper administration of antibiotics and proper airway management should be the initial protocol for treatment.
