Abstract

In order to realize the earthquake damage emergency assessment of the large regional water supply pipe network, based on the statistical yearbook of water supply industry, the basic data of urban water supply network are extracted, the seismic damage rates of current underground pipeline made of different materials under different earthquake intensities are obtained by using the scientific investigation, and statistical analysis of Wenchuan earthquake, etc. The seismic damage calculation formula for water supply pipe network is put forward. Taking the urban underground water supply pipeline network of cities in East China as examples, the earthquake damage emergency assessments are conducted. This method is not only applicable to the post-earthquake emergency evaluation of water supply networks, but also provides an effective way of seismic performance evaluation of large regional water supply network before the earthquake.
