Her Ph.D., exploring the impact of IT on organisational structures, was awarded by the University of Hong Kong.Her business experience includes the primary commodity sector, manufacturing and consultancy for multinational concerns, and small business management. Janice taught, researched, and contributed to curriculum development in Britain, Canada, and Hong Kong before taking up her appointment as Foundation Professor and Head of School in Management Information Systems in the Faculty of Business at Edith Cowan University in Perth, Australia.Janice is the author of four books, the most recent being Information Technology and the Challenge for Hong Kong (1997) and contributor to others, including the Australian-edited Steps to the Future - Fresh Thinking on the Management of IT- Based Organizational Transformation (1997). She writes regularly for international journals and conferences on topics related to Information Systems, and currently researches change management, culture, and the Web. She is Vice-President of the Information Resource Management Association, an editor and reviewer for several journals, including the International Review of Women in Leadership and a Fellow of the British Computer Society.
