Abstract

The electrodeposition of Pb-Sn alloys from an aqueous solution containing diethylenetriaminepentaacetates of the metals could be a regular, equilibrium or irregular process depending on the experimental conditions. The percentage of tin in the deposit increased with an increase in pH but decreased with an increase in temperature or stirring of the electrolyte. The X-ray phase structure of the electrodeposited alloys and the effect of annealing on the structure are reported.
