Abstract
Abstract The phase diagram in the coordinates electric field - temperature at the incommensurate-commensurate transition of Rb2ZnCl4 is deduced from the birefringence data. Main features of the transition in a biasing electric field are determined, as revealed by permittivity and birefringence behaviour.
