Abstract

An analysis of the components of love is carried out under the approach of Stemberg, on which he raises an explanatory model of it, calling it “pentagon of love” and in which he emphasizes the importance of passion, on which he allows to make a fundamental difference between love and friendship, which is why he carries out a conceptual analysis of passion, as well as communication in different aspects of the human relationship. In turn, it describes the concept of passionate fidelity in the relationship of the couple as in the family, which allows differentiating different degrees of passion and emotional bond to justify the variety of types of couples. On the other hand, he uses the concept of personality as an important factor in the love relationship. Finally, he quotes some diagnostic scales of love.
