Abstract

Objective To evaluate the effect of tirofiban and low molecular weight heparin calcium for transient ischemic attack (TIA). Methods A total of 102 patients with TIA admitted into our hospital from April, 2015 to February, 2017 were included in the study and randomly divided into a study group and a control group by digital table method. The control group were treated with aspirin and low molecular heparin calcium and the study group with tirofiban hydrochloride and low molecular heparin calcium. After 2 treatment courses, the clinical effects of two groups were compared and analyzed. Results The total effective rate was 92.2% in the study group and was 74.5% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P 0.05), but the platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule 1 (PECAM-1) was significantly higher in the study group than in the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion Tirofiban and low molecular weight heparin calcium in the treatment of TIA is effective and can impove the symptoms and has great clinical value. Key words: Tirofiban hydrochloride; Low molecular weight heparin calcium; Transient cerebral ischemia
