Abstract

In this study, the composite sandwich panels were manufactured by using Nomex PN1 as core material and carbon fiber as face sheet material. The thickness of the core remains the same for all panels but the thickness of face sheet varying. After fabrication of composites, flexural specimens were prepared as per ASTM Standard and carried out the 3-point flexural test. The test results showed that when face sheet thickness was increased then flexural strength was also increased for all specimens and increasing in specimen’s width also increased the flexural strength. One another thing was also observed that with the decrease in width to thickness ratio the flexural strength of the composite was noticed to decrease.
