Abstract

Here we studied the influence of S (sulfur) doping at the Sb site on the thermal and electrical properties of polycrystalline Fe(Sb1-x Sx)2 (x = 0.0, 0.05, 0.10) samples. The electrical resistivity was decreased by an order of magnitude as compared to the parent compound in 10 %wt. sulfur-doped at 390 K. Sulfur doped and parent samples show both type (p and n) of charge carriers, positive and negative thermopower. As a result, the figure of merit and power factor increased at a high temperature of about 390 K and also at a low temperature of about 50 K.
