Abstract
Objective OEvaluate the effect of ossicular reconstruction with partial ossicular replacement prostheses (PORP) or toutal ossicular replacement prostheses (TORP). Methods We effectively connected the ossicular chain used the PORP or TORP, replaced the destructive autologous ossicular. Results All the patients were followed-up for 6-47 months, the tympanic membrane got well, the averaged postoperative air conduction reduced 27.8 dB HL, the effectiveness was 79.3%. The recurrent and the reject reaction were zero. Conclusion It is considered that the PORP or TORP was a safety and useful material for ossicular reconstrction in the tympanoplasty.
