Abstract
1. Spoiled tuna containing a high level of histamine was fed to pigs, cats, dogs and rabbits, following a 24-hr fast. 2. Duroc pigs were the only animals which showed a reaction to the fish (regurgitation). 3. Those weighing 18–36 kg were more reactive than the heavier animals. 4. Durocs were more sensitive than other breeds tested.
