Abstract

In the present study, the effects of Mo concentration on the recrystallization texture, deformation mechanism and mechanical properties were investigated using the cold-rolled and annealed sheets of Ti-(10.0–20.0) wt.% Mo alloys. Ti-15.0Mo alloy exhibited a strong {111} ‖ ND recrystallization texture, resulting in the highest rm-value (2.18) and Δr-value (0.46), and possessed excellent tensile properties (n-value, UTS and TEl) most likely due to active deformation twinning. Therefore, it is thought that Ti-15.0Mo alloy is the most suitable for cold formability among Ti-(10.0–20.0)Mo alloys. However, the improvement of yield strength without significant losses of the other mechanical properties is needed.
