AbstractThe capture rate of Ips typographus in pheromone traps was estimated to be about 30% during 3 years of an outbreak. Tree mortality declined with about 80% during these 3 years. Possible effects of trapping on Ips typographus population size and tree mortality are discussed.ZusammenfassungZur Wirkung von Massenfängen auf die Populationen des Buchdruckers, Ips typographus (L.)In ausgedehnten Versuchen in Schweden wurde die Fangrate von Ips typographus während einer dreijährigen Massenvermehrung auf 30% veranschlagt. Mögliche Wirkungen des Fangs von Ips typographus auf die Populationsgröße und die Baum‐Mortalität werden diskutiert.
