Abstract

Surface micro-machining of AR layers using an excimer laser has been studied to reduce the real metal/silicon contact are under the electrode formed by the screen-printing technique. The cell efficiency was improved by 0.5% compared with a reference cell with conventionalm silver paste contact (efficiency: 17.5%). This simple process without photolithography and chemical etching results in a high-efficiency cell.
