Abstract

Objective To analyze the curative effects of budesonide combined with salbutamol aerosol inhalation on the improvement of transforming growth factor-β (TGF-β), C-reactive protein (CRP) level and lung function in patients with bronchial asthma. Methods Seventy patients with bronchial asthma treated in Luoyang Third People’s Hospital from January 2016 to August 2018 were selected and divided into two groups according to treatment methods, with 35 cases in each group. All patients underwent routine treatment of bronchial asthma. In addition, patients in control group received budesonide inhalation therapy. And patients in observation group were treated by budesonide combined with salbutamol aerosol inhalation therapy. The improvements of related indicators and lung function were compared between the two groups. Results Before treatment, TGF-β and CRP levels were higher in control group and observation group, and there was no significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05). However, after treatment, the levels of TGF-β and CRP of the two groups were significantly decreased, while the changes in observation group was more remarkable than that in control group (P<0.05). After effective treatment, the relevant indicators of lung function, including forced expiratory volume in one second, peak expiratory flow and forced vital capacity, in observation group were higher than those in control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusions For patients with bronchial asthma, budesonide combined with salbutamol aerosol inhalation can significantly improve airway inflammation, TGF-β and CRP levels, thereby enhancing lung function. Therefore, it is suitable for clinical application in bronchial asthma.
