Abstract

Zn-sustitution effect for Cu was studied in Bi 2Sr 2Ca(Cu 1−xZn x) 2O y single crystals ( 0 ≤ × ≤ 0.01 ). We found the increase of the out-of-plane conductivity with Zn substitution and the abrupt reduction of the anisotropic parameter γ from 200∼250 for the unsubstituted sample to 30∼50 for the 0.98% Zn substituted one.
