Abstract

BaTiO3 ceramic powders are prepared by the solid phase reaction method. BaTiO3 ceramic powders are sintered at different temperatures for 3 h. The tetragonal phase of BaTiO3 powder is confirmed by XRD. It was found that as the sintering temperature increased, the grain size, density, and dielectric constant of BaTiO3 ceramics increased. All the BaTiO3 ceramic samples sintered at various temperatures for 3 h show the diffuse phase transition and the diffuseness parameter and curie-Weiss constant are also calculated. BaTiO3 ceramic samples sintered at 1200 °C show well-grown grain boundaries. The ferroelectric nature of sintered BaTiO3 ceramic samples studied using P-E hysteresis measurements.
