Abstract

Objective To investigate the therapeutic effects of salmeterol and fluticasone combined with bailing capsule on patients with stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Methods Eighty-eight patients with stable COPD treated in Tai’an Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from June 2017 to December 2018 were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into observation group and control group, with 44 cases in each group. The patients in the control group were treated with salmeterol and fluticasone alone, while the patients in the observation group were treated with salmeterol and fluticasone combined with bailing capsule. Results The total effective rate of the observation group ( 97.73%) was higher than that of the control group (88.64%, P 0.05). After treatment, the improvement of FEV1, FEV1/FVC and FEV1 predicted value in the observation group was better than that in the control group (P 0.05). After treatment, the improvement of CD3, CD4 and CD3/CD8 in the observation group was better than that in the control group (P< 0.05). Conclusions The combination of bailing capsule and salmeterol ticarsone in the treatment of stable COPD patients can achieve satisfactory results, which is helpful to improve the clinical efficacy, pulmonary function and immune function of patients. It is worthy of clinical application and promotion. Key words: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease; Bailing capsule; Salmeterol and fluticasone; Pulmonary function; Immune function
