Abstract

Objective To investigate the effect of psychological intervention of family members'nursing on the psychological health and quality of life of cancer patients.Methods The symptom checklist-90 scales (SCL-90) and the 36-item short form health survey scales (SF-36) were used to evaluate the levels of psychological health and quality of life in control group,single psychological intervention to patients group (single group) and both psychological intervention to patients and their family members (both group).Results ①Both patients and their family members were reported significantly lower scores about the levels of psychological health and quality of life.②After psychological interventional therapy,both levels of psychological health and quality of life in single group and both group were more improved than those of control group.But both levels were more higher in both group than those of only group.Conclusions It showed that cancer patients and their family members have more critical psychological disorders and poor quality of life.Scientific and reasonable psychological intervention therapy should be offered to both cancer patients and their family members to improve their psychological health and quality of life.
