Abstract
Objective To investigate the influence of psychological intervention on postoperative quality of life in patients with hyperhidrosis.Methods 60 patients with hyperhidrosis were randomly divided into two groups,each 30 cases.Both groups were treated by video-assisted thoracoscopic (VATS) T3～4 sympathectomy and routine postoperative care.Experimental group reiceved psychological counseling and follow-up 3 months.The preoperative and postoperative quality of life were assessed by SF-36 scale questionnaire and analyzed statistically before the surgery and by the end of third month after the operation.Results The life scores of physical function,role-physical function,role-emotional,and mental health quality in experimental group were higher than control group (P＜0.05),the difference was statistically significant.Conclusions Psychological nursing intervention helps to improve quality of life in patients with hyperhidrosis.
