Abstract

The effect was shown of modifying additives on the reduction of internal stress in gelatin films formed during isometric heating. The higher the concentration of the modifying substance in gelatin, the more considerable this reduction. The modifying effect is determined by the chemical nature of modifiers, the introduction of which into gelatin results either in plasticization, or in the formation of a heterophase system. An explanation is given to this effect.
