Abstract

1. (1) The photochemical destruction of polyamides was investigated. 2. (2) The dependence of the rate of destruction in the molecular weight was elucidated. 3. (3) The influence of different solvents on the character and rate of destruction of polyamide solutions was investigated. 4. (4) It was found that a direct relationship between the capacity for luminescence, the corresponding absorption spectra and the action of the tested low molecular additives did not exist. 5. (5) Of a number of additives used 2-( o-hydroxyphenyl) benzoxazole showed the best protective action.
