Abstract

Objective To investigate clinical efficacy of low dose of corticosteroid combined with tiotropium bromide on cytokines and pulmonary function of patients with bronchial asthma treated by inhaling. Methods 80 cases of patients with light or moderate asthma were randomly divided into observation group and control group,40 cases for each group.Observation group was treated with inhaling low dose of two beclomethasone dipropionate and tiotropium bromide, control group was treated with high dose of two beclomethasone. The cytokines, pulmonary function and asthma symptom score changes between two groups were compared. Results At post-treatment,the IL-8,IL-10,TNF-α in observation group were significantly lower than those in control group (P < 0.05); the FVC,FEV1,FEV1/FVC (%) in observation group were significantly higher than those in control group (P < 0.05); asthma score was significantly lower than that in control group (P < 0.05); the incidence of adverse reaction was lower than that in control group (P < 0.05).Conclusion Treating bronchial asthma by inhaling low dose of corticosteroid combined with tiotropium bromide has good clinical curative effect, which is safe and reliable, and worthy of clinical application.
