Abstract

Abstract In this paper, we report work hardening behavior of an extra low interstitials containing α-β Ti-6Al-4V alloy in both circumferential and radial direction. Experimental data of true stress – true strain of Extra Low Interstitials(ELI) grade and Non-ELI grade alloys in circumferential and radial directions has been analyzed using different flow relationships. Among all the relationship Ludwingson relationship provides the best fit of the data for all the conditions. The alloy exhibit two distinct stages of strain hardeningin all conditions. It is found that the extra low interstitials containing alloy has vary in degree of improvements in work hardening behavior.
