Abstract
Objective To observe the effect of injection of viscoelastic agent in anterior chamber at the end of vitrectomy combined phacoemulsification. Methods The data of 30 eyes of 30 patients who recieved vitrectomy combined phacoemulsification from 2016 to 2017 were retrospectively analysed. All cases recieved injection of viscoelastic agent in anterior chamber due to shallow anterior chamber at the end of combined surgery. The intraoperative and postoperative formation of anterior chamber and position of intraocular lens and intraocular pressure were observed. Results After surgery the anterior chamber formation and the position of intraocular lens were stable. The difference was not significant in intraocular pressure between 1 day postoperatively and preoperatively (P>0.05). The intraocular pressure was stable 1-3 days postoperatively, and the difference was not significant (P>0.05). Conclusion Injection of viscoelastic agent in anterior chamber is a simple, safe and effective procedure, which can stabilize the formation of anterior chamber, avoid the deviation or gripping of intraocular lens due to shallow anterior chamber. And the postoperative intraocular pressure is stable without obvious complications. Key words: Viscoelastic agent, anterior chamber injection, the end of surgery; Combined surgery, cataract, vitreous; Intraocular pressure
