Abstract

Objective To evaluate the value of low temperature plasma radiofrequency ablation under nasal endoscope (ELTPRA) in children with snoring complicating by allergic rhinitis. Method s 76 children with snoring complicating by allergic rhinitis treated in our hospital from January 2018 to April 2019 were analyzed retrospectively. They were divided into observation group (38 cases, ELTPRA) and control group (38 cases, adenotonsillectomy) according to the different surgical methods. The clinical indexes and the levels of inflammatory factors were compared between the two groups. Result s The disappearance time of pain and clinical symptoms in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group; the levels of interleukin 8 (IL-8), interleukin 4 (IL-4), and tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α in the observation group were lower than those in the control group at 3 months after surgery, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). Conclusion The children with snoring and allergic rhinitis recovered quickly after ELTPRA, with low levels of inflammatory factors. Key words: Snoring; Allergic rhinitis; Low temperature plasma radiofrequency ablation under nasal endoscope (ELTPRA); Inflammatory factors
