Abstract

Objective To analyze the clinical effect of low temperature plasma radiofrequency ablation on early stage of laryngeal carcinoma, to improve the clinical treatment of early laryngeal cancer. Methods Fifty-four patients with early stage of laryngeal cancer from April 2012 to May 2015 were divided into observation group (n=34) and control group (n=20) according to different treatment. The observation group was treated by low temperature plasma radiofrequency ablation treatment, the control group was treated by partial incision of the throat. The operation time, blood loss, length of stay, incidence of complications and recurrence rate of 1 year after operation were compared between the two groups. Results The operation time, blood loss and length of stay in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P 0.05). The recurrence rate was 8.82% (3/34) in the observation group and 5.00% (1/20) in the control group, there was no significant difference between the two groups (χ2=0.000, P>0.05). Conclusions Low temperature plasma radiofrequency ablation in the treatment of early stage of laryngeal carcinoma can shorten the operation time and length of stay, reduce the amount of bleeding, high safety, it is worth popularizing. Key words: Laryngeal carcinoma; Low temperature plasma radiofrequency ablation; Partial laryngotomy
