Abstract

Objective To investigate the effect of early nursing intervention on duration of tube indwelling in modified radical mastectomy for breast cancer.Methods 100 patients with breast cancer in our hospital underwent modified radical mastectomy for breast cancer and were randomly divided into two groups.Postoperative routine nursing,nursing intervention,duration of tube indwelling,and complications were analyzed between the two groups after surgery.Results The mean duration of tube indwelling was significantly shorter in the study group than in the control group (P<0.05); the incidence rate of postoperative complications was significantly lower in the study group than in the control group (P<0.05).Conclusions Early nursing intervention can shorten duration of tube indwelling after modified radical mastectomy for breast cancer,reduce the cost of hospitalization and treatment,and improve quality of life in patients,with a higher clinical value.
