Methods A total of 98 patients who completed colostomy in this hospital from March 2016 to December 2017 were selected.According to the random number method, the patients were divided into the control group and the observation group, 49 cases of each group.Patients in the control group were given regular telephone follow-up in accordance with routine requirements after discharge, while patients in the observation group were given continuous nursing service based on WeChat platform after discharge. The effects of intervention in both groups were analyzed. Results After intervention, the self-care ability of patients in both groups was improved, and the improvement of patients in the observation group was greater than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Three months after discharge, anxiety and depression were improved in both groups, and the improvement degree in the observation group was greater than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (t=5.041, 4.635, P<0.05). The incidence of various complications in the control group was higher than that in the observation group, and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.900, 5.269, 4.009, 6.078, P<0.05). Patients in the observation group had better knowledge of stoma than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=10.242, 13.303, 6.498, 10.815, P<0.05).
