Abstract

This study aims to test the effectiveness of the use of audio visuals to improve the movement skills of Squad moves on the extracurricular skills of the SATRIA SMASA pencak silat extracurricular activity at SMA Negeri 1 Nganjuk. Based on the studies that have been carried out, the use of audio visual media is assumed to be effective in improving these skills. It is hoped that this research can provide a little solution to the problems that occur in the decline in the quality of the Team form movement skills. The design used in this study is a one-group pretest-posttest design with a population and sample, namely members of the extracurricular pencak silat SATRIA SMASA totaling 30 students. The instrument uses a type of test demonstration of Team style in pencak silat with a scoring system according to the rules of the pencak silat competition. Descriptive data analysis was used to obtain a description of the test result data and then the t test was carried out. The results showed that there was an increase in the skills of the Squad move before and after the treatment was given. This increase is evidenced by the average pretest score of 70 while the average value at the posttest is 86. The percentage of increase from before treatment and after treatment is 16%. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the use of audio visuals is effective in improving the skills of the Squad moves on the extracurricular skills of the SATRIA SMASA pencak silat extracurricular activity at SMA Negeri 1 Nganjuk
