Abstract

Education on the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is training that aims to increase the knowledge of puskesmas employees regarding the use of geographic information systems as an effort to prevent disease at the Rampal Celaket Health Center. This education uses lecture and discussion methods as well as assistance to participants through direct practice using the GIS application. After the training, participants' understanding increased with indicators of map layouts that were made quite well and fulfilled cartographical rules. The response of the participants was very responsive and enthusiastic in participating in the training from start to finish. This can be a consideration for carrying out further education so that the abilities and skills of participants can improve even better.
