Abstract

The political, economic and social changes, taking place at the present stage of the country development, have an impact on the conditions of social life, on the formation of each individual and his/her relationships with the outside world. They are of particular importance in relation to higher education, including military training, which has to meet certain requirements for qualitative formation and professional development of preservice officers. In this vein, the issue of the typology of educational environments of a military university according to its specific features becomes relevant. The article analyses the definition of “educational environment” in modern psychological and pedagogical research, defines the typology of educational environments of military and civilian universities, describes psychological and pedagogical indicators of the educational environment affecting the activities of students. The article considers the educational environments common to a military educational organisation using the example of the Perm National Guard Forces Command Military Institute as one of the means of forming military professional competencies of preservice specialists.
