Abstract

Taking Haier Group, a representative traditional enterprise in the home appliance manufacturing industry, as an example, this paper conducts a dynamic analysis of the path of strategic innovation in traditional manufacturing industry through the contradiction theory and the impact of the internal and external environment in the course of Haier Group’s development on its strategic innovation. The results show that the changing process of the principal contradictions in the development stage of traditional manufacturing enterprises constitutes the chief axis of their strategic innovation, that strategy plays a guiding role in the innovation-led development of enterprises, and that technological innovation, market innovation, organizational innovation and cultural innovation are the elements to support strategic innovation, which ensure the implementation of the strategy, while leadership mechanism, coordination mechanism and learning mechanism are the micro-mechanism of strategic innovation. This paper enriches the theory of strategic innovation of traditional manufacturing enterprises, summarizes the path and micro-mechanism of strategic innovation, and then puts forward some countermeasures for the problems existing in the strategic innovation of traditional manufacturing enterprises represented by Haier in China, so as to provide some reference for the strategic innovation of other similar enterprises.
