Due-Date Determination and Scheduling Problem of Production Lines

Abstract

The problem of common due-date determination and E/T scheduling on a single machine has been widely studied. This paper considers the E/T scheduling problem of multiple machines, in which the machines are in a serial production line or in an assembly production line. Firstly, the problem of single machine with release times is discusssed. Then, the scheduling problems of the serial production line and the assembly production line are studied and the algorithms are proposed.
