Abstract

A new species of Ovulidae J. Fleming, 1822 from the Nyalindung Formation, late Middle Miocene of West Java, Indonesia, is reported. The species is provisionally placed in the genus Dissona Cate, 1973, which, if confirmed, will be the first occurrence of this genus in the fossil record.
