Abstract
A 51-year-old man with a 3-month history of methylprednisolone hormonotherapy for eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA) presented to the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University, Nanning, China, with a progressive mass on his right forearm for 2 weeks, with fever, cough, and viscous sputum. Blood tests showed that the white blood cell count was 29·99 × 109/L, the neutrophil count was 27·81 × 109/L, the erythrocyte sedimentation rate was 88 mm, and the hypersensitive C-reactive protein count was 142·45 mg/L.
