Abstract
Imagination can be defined as a constitutive characteristic of human beings, among human cognitive faculties and potentialities. Consequently, imagination has a deep connection with law (juridical science and rights), specially regarding its prospective dimension. Actually, only by using imagination will it be possible to overcome the huge social, political, cultural and juridical challenges for the protection of human rights in the complex contemporary context. In this sense, this paper aims to ana¬lyze the underestimated connection between imagination, law and rights, proposing a dialogical approach to these subjects. Therefore, the article is divided in three topics: (i) Imagination and knowledge; (ii) Juridical reason in modernity; (iii) The connections between law and imagination.
