Linear IgA disease (LAD) is a rare chronic autoimmune subepithelial mucocutaneous bullous disorder characterized by linear deposition of IgA immunoreactants at the cutaneous or mucosal basement membrane zone (BMZ).[1]. Some patients present with a clinical phenotype similar to that of cicatricial pemphigoid.[4] The causes of LAD are not clear. A 60-year-old female patient presented to our clinic with the chief complaint of painful ulcers on her lips of 3 months duration.
